We were founded by the Society of the Holy Child Jesus in 1875 and moved to our new site, near Regent’s Park, in 1970.  We cherish our Catholic foundation although we now embrace families of all faiths or none.

“Ethos and environment are the schools greatest strengths”.

The Cavendish School prides itself on its warm and inclusive environment.  We are fortunate to have a wide range of backgrounds, nationalities and cultures represented within our school community.

We provide a happy, secure and caring environment within which confidence, achievement and respect of and for others are fostered.  This cultivates high self esteem which allows children to realise their full emotional, social, academic, physical and creative potential.  The close relationship we cultivate between school and home, enabled by our experiences and highly qualified staff, is integral to all we do.

“There is an ethos of kindness and respect in this school which is actively encouraged”.

The well-being, security and safety of our children are our principal concerns and our site, building and procedures reflect that priority.

The Cavendish puts praise, encouragement and reward at the heart of developing confidence in each individual pupil.
