Curriculum and Teaching

The Cavendish School is unusual amongst primary schools in the extent to which the curriculum is enriched beyond inspiring a love of reading, writing and mathematical challenge.

While these key skills are of course well taught and reinforced, we pride ourselves on how much our girls enjoy learning in a wider context. They are encouraged to pursue their curiosity, to make connections, and to take risks in a broad curriculum that includes exploration across the arts, sciences and sport, both inside and beyond the classroom. This inspires and develops self-esteem. It also makes for a smooth and successful transfer to excellent senior schools (often with scholarships).

I recently encountered some of your year six pupils at Primrose Hill Library, they were lovely girls with so many positive things to say about The Cavendish. They were a real credit to the school.
