Teaching Assistant Fixed Term Contract

We seek an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join the staff of our unique, friendly and highly regarded GSA & IAPS School from September 2026, on a 1-year fixed-term contract. We wish to appoint someone who has the necessary skills and attributes to have a real impact on our teaching provision at The Cavendish School. Potential is as important as experience, so applications are invited from anyone new to this role who holds the relevant qualification, as well as those who are experienced.

The successful candidate will have experience working with children in a classroom setting, be confident in supporting teaching and learning and be able to build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents. You will demonstrate a flexible and enthusiastic approach and a commitment to high standards of behaviour and achievement. A willingness to contribute fully to the wider life of the school is essential, as is excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.

The role is term-time only with working hours of 8am-4pm every weekday, with the exception of Wednesdays, which are 8am-5pm.

Visits by prior arrangement are welcome.
