Music

Music

Over 80% of the pupils from Years 1-6 are currently learning an instrument through one-to-one lessons. We have a range of peripatetic teachers who come in weekly.

This includes singing, piano, drums, guitar, trumpet, flute, oboe, violin.

Music is taught as a specialist lesson to every pupil in the school, including Nursery.  The curriculum gives them all access to multiple musical genres and is infused with Kodaly-based teaching. Singing with good pitch awareness and musical literacy are introduced right from the early years.
