We have just had our recent Independent Schools Inspectorate (ISI) inspection, which took place from 2–4 June 2026.

The inspection report confirms that The Cavendish School meets all the Independent School Standards in every area inspected. This is a tremendous achievement for our whole community.

The inspectors recognised The Cavendish School as an inclusive, nurturing and ambitious school where girls are known as individuals, thrive academically and develop into confident, caring young people. They highlighted the broad range of opportunities available across academic, creative, sporting and leadership activities, noting that our pupils are enthusiastic, articulate and active contributors to
school life.

Inspectors described a culture characterised by positive relationships, inclusion and mutual respect, where pupils develop confidence, resilience and emotional awareness. They also praised our emphasis on kindness, respect for diversity and the importance of every girl finding and using her voice.

We were delighted that inspectors recognised the strength of our pastoral care, our provision for pupils with SEND and EAL, the richness of our co-curricular programme, and the many opportunities available for girls to develop leadership skills and contribute to their community. They found our safeguarding culture to be effective and deeply embedded throughout the school.
