Introducing Our New 7+ Admissions Process
We are delighted to introduce our new 7+ admissions process for girls seeking entry to Year 3 at The Cavendish School. This will sit alongside our existing admissions arrangements for occasional vacancies and has been designed to provide families with a more engaging and meaningful introduction to our school.
As demand for Year 3 places continues to grow, we are introducing a dedicated 7+ Experience Morning, which will take place on Thursday 26 November 2026. Rather than a traditional entrance examination, this will be a relaxed and enjoyable morning that allows girls to experience life at The Cavendish School firsthand.
During the morning, girls will be placed in small groups and will join our current pupils to take part in a range of typical classroom activities. They will enjoy lessons in subjects such as English, Mathematics and Science, as well as games and other engaging activities that reflect a normal morning at Cavendish.
The morning is designed to be welcoming and pressure-free. It is not a test or formal examination, but an opportunity for girls to have fun, make new friends, meet our staff, and gain a genuine sense of our vibrant school community. Equally, it will allow us to get to know each child in a natural classroom setting and see how they engage with learning and with others.
If you are interested in a Year 3 place for September 2027 (for children born between 1 September 2019 and 31 August 2020), please register your interest by Tuesday 3 November 2026.
